pressure treated wood deck for wood finish

Your preference to walnut oil is interesting how would it work on a Pt deck. I am trying to stay away from finishing product's like sealers and oil finishes as my grandkids eat off the deck when they drop food ( yeah bad habit).

Kidlets sure need a healthy deck plate. Walnut oil would be a food safe wood finish for sure but would require re-oiling from time to time because rain will slowly dry out the wood, just like with wood utensils...

So you will have to experiment to see how often this would be, but from a safety point of view it would work. If you have a big deck then you could buy walnut oil in 5 gallon sizes.
