safety of using pine board as cutting board
I m thinking of making some chopping board from pine board purchased from a hardware store. The board is imported from New Zealand and I m sure there will be some form of chemical sprayed onto it. How safe is this for cutting my food on it?
Helen, this depends on what chemicals there are! Your guess is as good as mine. I prefer to know what goes into my food and body. When in doubt I leave it out!
