One day, I was cutting firewood out in southern Oregon and ran across an unfamiliar wood. My friend that was with me told me that it was a hardwood called Madrone.
This was a huge tree.
Dallas and I was told that if in tack would or could be worth a lot of money. Knowing that there would be a huge interest in this tree once it got around that it was down and was free on a first come basis, I quickly cut it up in to 20" rounds load edit up in my truck and trailer and headed directly home.
Man that wood burns good!
