What to Do with a fallen Arbutus Tree? Want it?

I have had a very large Arbutus tree fall in my yard. I have made some inquires about having it processed to be used for woodworking. Some of the contacts have reported that local mills have not had much luck with processing Arbutus... it checks to much in the drying process. Is one able to process the wood successfully to be use for furniture making...I live in the Comox Valley so if you know someone that can help let me know. The picture is of the root system... the height of the tree was about 80 feet with the circum. just shy of 7 ft.

Cheers

Ron here...

It is very difficult to dry arbutus for use in making furniture as you say because it cracks as it dries.

I will move this post to Marketplace in case someone sees it there and wants to contact you.

Looking for a 10ft piece of arbutus for project

I'm interested in acquiring a straighter 10 ft section of an arbutus tree to use as a decorative post. If you still have it in your yard, please let me know! I'm also in Comox but realize your ad is several months old. Thanks!
